Description

Arkym style carbon fibre front splitter to fit BMW F20 F21 1 Series MSPORT LCI 2015-2019

The Rennessis front splitter is designed to be mounted to the bottom of the front bumper of your vehicle, giving an instant visual impact and offering additional useful downforce. The splitter pushes high air pressure upwards, and at high speed, forces low air pressure downwards to pass through underneath the car, creating more traction as the vehicle hugs the ground.

This product is manufactured using high quality polymer based FRP plastic and professionally handcrafted with real carbon fibre via the wet laid process. The end product is infused in a UV protective clear coat for added shine and protection.

Material: FRP+ Carbon

Finish:

Carbon

    Great looking with minor "issues"

So I was looking for an alternative of the full carbon CS style (AUTOID), because that one sticks out too much in my personal opinion. Then I saw this variant. It's like a compressed version of the AUTOID one. Once it came in, the car went straight to the bodyshop. Firstly it sticked out too much in the front, fitment not on point. After a bit of trail and error, the fitment is almost perfect now. It's not an easy frontlip to place on the bumper! Like I said previously, the fitment is, with many aftermarket carports, not 100%. But close enough. Apart from that, if you have your F20/F21 lowered, I'd say: stay clear of this one. At the ends of the bumper, you'll notice it's a fat frontlip. Like in: a couple of inches closer to the ground. I could compare it to my Maxton V1 frontlip, and it's a lot higher. I'm so careful of bumps and heightened places, and I still manages to scrape the bottom right corner. Never had that before and my car isn't even lowered. In the end: I'm very happy with my purchase. Bit of a shame also that it's not full carbon, but plastic with carbon inlay. But you can't tell that from looking at it the normal way. Looks great, spaces in the middle part are filled up with carbon now, I suppose it has better airflow now.. If the fitment was perfect, I would give it 5 stars.
